How many calories can you burn while having sex?According to a latest study from Canadian scientists referred that sexual intercourse may potentially be considered as a significant exercise, purportedly.
The study looked at 21 couples in the Montreal area. They had sex for an average of 24.7 minutes, with individual times ranging from 10 minutes to more than 57 minutes. The study found that men burned an average of 4.2 calories per minute during sex, while women burned around 3.1 calories per minute.
Having “sexercise” may help to burn more calories than doing household chores, but men and women expend more calories — 9.2 per minute and 7.1 per minute, respectively — while jogging.
Even though having sex can help burn calories, exercise caution. Be careful not to injure yourself!

Sex may feel like a workout sometimes, but just how many calories are you actually burning under the sheets?
Researchers first posed that question in 1984, in a paper published in the Archives of Internal Medicine concluding that sex equated to light-to-moderate exercise. Several more studies since then have found similar conclusions.

What is starvation and malnutrition?
Starvation, malnutrition, and over-nutrition are some of the main food supply-related problems our world faces today. This is due to increasing population, unequal distribution of food, and growing of cash crops instead of food in some developing countries.
Starvation occurs when a human or another animal does not receive enough energy in their diet. Therefore, to meet metabolic needs, the body starts to use stored fats and glycogen. When these are gone, the body starts to use available protein and so our muscles are utilized. Our heart is also a muscle and thus this may seriously weaken our heart.
Malnutrition is a little different from starvation because malnutrition results from dietary imbalance. It may be due to a deficiency or an excess intake of nutrients over a period of time. Deficiency diseases also occur due to lack of vitamins and minerals.
We have discussed them in our previous videos. We now also know that a lack of dietary fibre results in constipation. Over-nutrition occurs when a person consumes more energy than he or she can use up, so he becomes fat. Such a person is said to be obese and this is one of the most common problems in developed countries.
One of the main problems in the subcontinent is the overconsumption of saturated fats and cholesterol which increases the risk of coronary heart disease. This is dangerous because it has been estimated that on average, every 500g of fatty tissue requires a kilometre long supply of blood vessels and this is an additional burden to our heart.
To summarise, dietary imbalance may be due to economic constraints, poor eating habits, and unwillingness to follow nutritional guidelines. So next time if you have a problem with your weight do visit a nutritionist and get yourself a balanced diet plan.
